How to get to Rome by plane
There are two main airports in Rome: the Rome Fiumicino (Leonardo da Vinci) international airport and the Rome Ciampino low cost airport. There are two trains the Leonardo Express (14€, 30 minutes to Termini station, runs every 30 minutes) and the regional train to Fara Sabina/Orte (8€, 48 minutes to Tiburtina station). The Ciampino airport is served by atac bus lines 520 (1.5€ to metro A station Subaugusta) and 720 (1.5€ to metro B station Laurentina). Additionally Cotral buses depart every 30 minutes, arriving to the Ciampino train station, where direct trains to Termini stop.
The bus line Terravision Shuttle Bus serves the route between both the airports and the central station of Rome, Termini (6-8€).
Taxis in Rome are white and there is a fixed fare to go from Fiumicino/Ciampino airports to the city center (and vice-versa).
Fiumicino-city center: 48€.
Ciampino-city center: 30€.
